Clove Bud - (Eugenia caryopjullata)
Clove is evergreen tree growing tall up to 30 feet. Clove buds are the unopened, long, yellow green flower bud.
They are harvested by beating the tree, a white coton is used to collect the harvest.
They are sundried for a few days till a dark brown colour is achieved.
The essential oil:
Clove bud oil is steamed distilled from buds, freshly distilled the oil is colourless with a slight tinge of yellow,
ovetimes as it matures it turns to dark brown. The main constituent is eugenol, which is the best antiseptic.

External Use: Mouthwashes: 3 drops in a glass of water
Massage with Clove bud EO diluted (20% in vegetable oil) on the abdomen (stomach ache) and along the spine (fatigue).
Always use diluted in external use up to 20% in vegetable oil.
Not recommended for pregnant and lactating women and children under 6 years.
